Reform is so obvious that people ask why this wasn’t done before.

My proposed reform is so obvious that people ask why this wasn’t done before. Reform began in 2005. As a city council member I voted to reduce the treasurer salary 19% over the objection of the then Treasurer Ernie O’Dell. As treasurer, I will finish the reforms including reducing the salary by $90,000 to $25,000. Note that Mr O’Dell and my opponent continue argue for the whole salary even while interest income declines.  My opponent’s ballot statementsalarygraph (2) calls for the reduction of City staff salary so she can keep the whole Treasurer salary.  Strange but true.
